You didn't list him, but Bill Richardson would be a good choice. First, he's an acknowledged baseball fan and former player (pitched in college and was actively scouted by a few MLB teams before he blew out his arm). Second, he has a long history of conflict resolution, which is a must for anyone dealing with the teams and the Players Union.

without hesitation....McCain! He's a Vietnam Veteran, who served in a POW Camp for 6 years. There's no f*cking way he'd be bullied, like Bud Selig has, by Steinbrenner or any of the "silent" partners associated with baseball.
Baseball hasn't been cleaned up because the owners are getting FILTHY rich because the fans love to se the long ball, we, as fans, love to see the 40+ yr old leg out an infield grounder to beat the double play. We love to see Pappi and A-Rod hit 50+ homers per year.
McCain, in my opinion, is "strong" enough to clean up baseball but is still flexable enough to work with the owners and the Players Association.

I would have either John McCain or Barak Obama. McCain because he would take no crap from players and owners. Obama because he is well liked by people and would probably be more likely to represent the opinions of the public more in running baseball operations.

He was into athletics in high school (track and field, wrestling, baseball, football, then swimming)... has a hard work ethic... was a medical doctor during the Vietnam war and later became captain... great in economics... good with the media...

Vote: Ron Paul.

It would have to be Gulliani since we always see him at games with a Yankees cap on his head. He is a big baseball fan.
