I am not sure the exact number, last year I counted it was in the 50's but I have added since then. I think my top three are:
Perfect! Book about all the Perfect games in History by James Buckley Jr.; good read!
The Ty Cobb Story; a great book about a great player who was a horrible human being!
The Teammates by David Halberstam was a great book, took you back through the last journey of Ted WIlliams friends to see him before he passed...it gave you a great history of the four guys that were best friends beyond baseball, I met Dom Dimaggio at one of his stores in SF after reading the book, he talked to me for three hours about the book, baseball and how it all relates to life...it was one of those great once in a lifetime moments.

Do You Like The Past Or Present MLB More? - Present 10. How Often Do You Watch Baseball? - Everday during the season. If the Twins aren't playing, I find another game on. I don't really mind who is playing, as long as it's baseball!

Well I have:
Derek Jeter's "The Life You Imagine"
Only For Mets Fan
Cooperstown players "2007"
Willie Mays autobiography
Best Hitters In The Game
Sports Illustrated Baseball
and lots more!
Those Are The Books I enjoy because They get me very interested, into the way baseball goes. ( I always been a Baseball fan) but I'm more intersted then I ever been now!
I like The "Derek Jeter", "Cooperstown", and "Only for Mets Fans Book" the most cause I really enjoy various players and I like learning more about teams and players!

I own a few baseball books. I have David Well's "Perfect I'm Not" and Derek Jeter's "The Life You Imagine". My dad bought this book "The Inside Game" about the game from a manager's perspective. I also had a book about the history of the Yankees that had all their "greatest teams" and their "greatest players". They had a really good story about Lou Gehrig and old photographs of him when he played football for Columbia University.
I also own alot of baseball books from when I was a kid. They were all written by Matt Christopher. My favorites are "Look who's playing First Base" and "The Kid Who only hit homeruns". In the latter, A kid all of a sudden starts hitting homeruns when he starts recieving hitting tips from a stranger who bears a similar resemblance to Babe Ruth. I love to read them whenever I have the chance.

I just finished reading 'I Live for This!' by Bill Plaschke with Tommy Lasorda. An amazing book filled with the memoirs of Tommy Lasorda. It takes you back to his days as a child, all the way through winning the Olympic gold medal in baseball, followed by an epilogue about when the McCourts purchased the Dodgers. Plaschke did an amazing job, a good read for any baseball fan, whether you root for the Dodgers or not.
WHAT A BOOK!

If a fan is looking for a laugh, or two, I would recommend "Minnesota Twins Dugout" written by Kent Hrbek. It is a book about practical jokes and funny stories about players. On the more serious side I would suggest any one of Tom Stanton's books on baseball, Maybe "Road to Cooperstown" as a starter. As far as numbers of books I would say I have about 50 right now, I am always giving my books away for others to read.

I have a couple shelves worth - probably between 35 and 40 total. The best of 'em, as far as sitting down with something to read, are:
- "Maybe I'll Pitch Forever" by Satchel Paige
- "A Game of Inches" by Peter Morris
- "Play By Play" by Neal Conan

Three Nights in August - Buzz Bissinger
Baseball Letters - Seth Swirsky - This one is very good and different. It's a collection of letters that he wrote to baseball related people and the replies he received.
