I'm a Cardinals' fan! They are the closest team to my home! I like players on other teams too...especially if they were a former Cardinal.

Even though I am from New York originally (the state, not the city), I have been an Atlanta Braves fan since the mid-1980s. I was in the military and traveled a lot, but the Braves could always be found on the superstation WTBS. I also lived not too far from Atlanta several times during my military career. I was rooting for them when they were losing close to 100 games each year, so it was nice when they turned that around. They are still my favorite team. They have the best GM and manager in baseball. Go Braves!!.

I am a fan of great Baseball, I like the Phillies because when I was little we lived outside of Philadelphia and the players were always available to the public back then. We moved to CA and I rooted for the A's in their last Championship time but the fire sale made my interest in them wane, I also lived in Boston and was a consultant for the Red Sox (people who pay me I keep interest in). I respect the yankees for the lengths they go to put the best team possible on the field. In general though I just root to see good Baseball, I like error free ball, all out effort and guys who leave nothing on the field!

I root for the Yankees and I pretty much have since birth. I come from a family of Yankee fans and I couldn't imagine cheering for any other team.

I guess I kinda see some logic in that.
I like the Tigers. Im from Michigan and Michigan fans are fiercely loyal to their home teams, but aside from that, they have a great history. I have seen them win a World Series, to being the worst team in baseball, to being a top contender again. Their history dates back to the near beginnings of organized baseball and many greats have played for them. They played in one of the most recognizeable stadiums, Tiger Stadium, for many years. Comerica Park is now one of the best in baseball and the atmosphere of being at a game is like none other. Although I am not happy that Inge is now a utility player, I'll live cause their going to win the Series in '08.

I think the Red Sox are a little closer to sweden but I could be wrong.
I like the Anaheim (not Los Angeles) Angels. I was born 1 mile from the stadium, grew up 30 minutes from there and now live an hour away.

I'm from Toronto and I like.... EVERY TEAM.
I see the Jays more because they are on TV, but I understand that support of a team is more geographical coincidence than anything.
You can take the HUGEST Red Sox supporter, one who hates everything Yankee, go back in time, move their parents or grandparents to NYC and boom, you have a huge Yankee fan.
For teams not located in my immediate area, I like Tampa Bay because they draft well, Oakland and Minnesota because they manage to compete on tiny budgets, Cleveland and Milwaukee because they are both exciting clubs. And the Cubs, because my favourite all time player was a cub (Ryne Sandberg)
