How long do you think Torre will stay with the Dodgers? Do you think he will work his magic, get a whole buncha rings, fall on some bad luck and retire? Or do you think he will be there for a few years and then retire without really getting anything accomplished? I love him to death but I don't want him to do that well there. I don't like them and I don't like the fact that he's there.

Here is a question that has enter my mind, the National League might have good teams, but in genral, when they play in the All-star game, on in the World Series, they are so bad that they lose. And no replies like because they stink, or any replies that you bad mouth the National League, now National League teams might own some of the American League teams in interleague, but really that is it, but once they play in the all-star game, they play like they want to be the visitors in the World Series, and not win the game, and snatch homefield advantage from the American League. I am now thinking, that they have only won 2 World Series during this whole decade, and with the American League winning the rest.

Before you say I'm out of my mind, let me just say that I'm not even a Rays fan. This team could turn out to be next year's Rockies. They have a mix of young an old. Here's their defensive alignment, with opening day age, then combined Minors and Majors '07 BA, HR, RBI, SB, and FA)
C-Dioner Navarro (AGE 24, .227, 9, 44, 3, .984)
1B-Carlos Pena (AGE 29, .282, 46, 121, 1, .993)
2B-Ben Zobrist (AGE 26, .241, 8, 31, 10, N/A)
3B-Akinori Iwamura (AGE 29, .285, 7, 34, 12, .976)
SS-Jason Bartlett (AGE 28, .265, 5, 43, 23, .967)
LF-Carl Crawford (AGE 26, .315, 11, 80, 50, .986)
CF-B.J. Upton (AGE 23, .299, 26, 86, 22, N/A)
RF-Rocco Baldelli (AGE 26, .193, 6, 13, 4, N/A)
DH-Cliff Floyd (AGE 35, .284, 9, 45, 0, 1.000)

Only Floyd is above 30, and all younger players on the team have promising offensive stats and decent speed. Wilson, Dohmann, Kazmir, Salas, Shields, Glover, and Reyes all had good years, and new additions Garza and Percival should prove useful. What do you think?

it's pretty messed up that the majority of the players named in the Mitchell Report are Mets or Yankees (New York) coming from a guy from Boston. Can you say witch hunt???

I got to say Todd Burns. If you don't know who that is your lucky he wasn't on your team.

I only ask this because I still say that there are many players in today's game that are or have been juiced. Only 86 players named in report after all this talk for years about steroids in baseball since late 80's mid 90's & the people on list, I never really heard of about 80% of them. Does anyone else think that more caliber players should be on list.. Yes or no without naming any specific player or players. I say yes & this is only my opionion but want feedback on this issue from others.

I say 90-95 wins and an AL East crown, and then we'll see from there. We have the best lineup in baseball...BY FAR, and even though the pitching staff is young I think it will begin to take shape as one of the best in the AL around July and the Yankees will break away from the pack there. Also, they'll want to send out the cathedral of baseball Yankee Stadium the right way.

I cant wait until this season. The Knicks, Jets, and Rangers have caused me enough heartache this offseason and the Yankees are the only really good team I root for these days.

Also, as for Boston...lets just say flukes rarely happen twice.

LETS GO YANKEES!

PS: No anti-Yankee answers.

I do. Clemens was named only coz Yankee trainer got indicted. Nobody from boston were interrogated so I am not surprised they rat out a bunch when and if their trainer got the feds on him.
