How do you think he's doing today? On the radio this morning they wanted to do a parade around his house with the Indians. Haha. What now, Lebron? What now?

the worst bust in the history of all sports. Anyone agree? The Colorado Rockies gave Hampton, a starting pitcher, an 8 year - 121 million dollar contract good from 2001-2008. He wound up only pitching 2 years in Colorado and 3 years in Atlanta, and has been under contract, but hurt, the past 2 years with Atlanta, and the Braves have him for next season also. He made slightly over 15 million per season, and in the 7 years since he signed that contract, Hampton's record is, 53 wins and 48 losses, WOW, that is an average of 7.5 wins per season, at 15 million per, so slightly over 2 million per win. WHAT A FREAKING BUST, you agree?

Ever since the Yankees lost to the Indians everyone is now cheering for the tribe! I mean have you Yankee fans no dignity in losing!? It just doesn't seem right, true fans stick to their team, even when they aren't playing. Does anyone agree with me here??

in 2009? I am a Seattle Mariner fan, living here in Seattle, and I would love for Jr. to come back home and play a few more years with the Mariners and finish his career here, playing some outfield and DH. Do you see that happening?

i mean am not a yankee fan at all am a redsox fan but i dnt think that the guy deserves to be fired.he has done a good job for the years hes been in newyork and hes part of the big reason why the yankees dominated in the 90,s.its not like hes the one out their in the field hitting or pitching!!!
may be instead of wanting to fire the guy, they should make some changes with their players!!!!and not just spend their money on overrated players!!!!

with the Orioles, was Chan Ho Park with the Texas Rangers. Homeboy made around 50 million in parts of 4 seasons from 2002-2005 with the Rangers and only won 22 games, that's more than 2 million per win.

years - 50 million? And he has won a total of 5 games the past 3 seasons with the yankees. That's 10 million per win. Another great move by Cashman, NOT.

I am not trying to get ahead of myself, I know that we have to face the Red Sox, they are a good team, but I am just wondering how many people really want the Indians to win the World Series?

I have been a Red Sox fan my whole life. I have followed Joe Torre's career since he became manager of our rival Yankees and have had nothing but respect for the man. He is a Hall-of-Fame manager. No-one can deny that, not even Sox fans. I say 'What the heck is the boss thinking?' I want to here what Yankee fans have to say about the possibility Steinbrenner will fire such a classy, successful manager.

The most talented team in baseball couldn't make it past the first round again. Don't see how that's the managers fault.

Whether it's the Red Sox or the Indians.

I have realized that the owner of the New York Yankees George Steinbrenner has high expectations for his ball club, the New York Yankees. Every year, it seems that he wants his team to Win The World Series and if you do not win to his expectations, you face consequences

Also, why does Steinbrenner have high expectations that the owners of most other franchises. For example, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones does not have consequences when the Cowboys do not make the post season. and the Owner of the NBA Detroit Pistons William Davidson does not have consequences for the team not winning the NBA Championship.

Why does New York Yankees owner have such high expectations for the Yankees baseball club when other team owners in other professional sports and Major League Baseball do not expect that everything has to be perfect?

I personally still don't think we're getting any respect at all. Everyone was talking this way before we played NY, like we don't stand a chance. Now, everyone(besides one guy on ESPN and other Indians fans like myself) is writing us off again against Boston. It's amazing how a team that wins 96 games, wins the AL Central(best division is baseball), beats the "dreaded" NY Yankees in the first round, and still nobody gives us a chance. People need to wake up, this Indians team is for real. Our pitching matches right up with Boston's. Our hitters have been more successful against their pitchers(look up the numbers), than their hitters have been against ours. We lost all 6 to NY in the regular season, didn't matter, we beat them. We went 2-5 against Boston, and everyone is making a big deal about that. Well, look at what we did to NY, cause it's going to happen again...

And who do you predict will win the World Series?

2007-10-09 05:43:24 · 22 answers · asked by Anonymous

He's not getting fired. This is the last year of his current contract. He is probably just not getting a new contract from Mr. Steinbrenner. There's a difference.

You people all get upset when Yankee fans act "arrogant" and "on top of the world" when the Yankees win. Well you have only yourselves to blame for egging us on. The questions and answers posted here is the sole reason why Yankees fans rub it in on you. It's because you do it to us. Now I'm not complaining about you doing it. So I don't understand why you get on our case about doing it. If you have a problem with Yankee fans rubbing it in maybe you should stop being hypocritical and stop rubbing it in on everyone else.

Oh and for those who have any problems. I've still seen my team win more championships than any of you have seen yours win. And the Yankees will be in the postseason again next year.
