in 2009? I am a Seattle Mariner fan, living here in Seattle, and I would love for Jr. to come back home and play a few more years with the Mariners and finish his career here, playing some outfield and DH. Do you see that happening?

He either stays in Home A in Cincinnati, Home B in Seattle or goes to Home C in TB/Miami to be closer to his wife and kids.

Financially, B will be the only one to afford him, even at reduced salary for his age and declining ability.

He's signed through 2008, with a club option at $16.5m (versus a $4m buyout) for 2009. Given the direction in which they seem to be heading as far as player development, I can't imagine the Reds keeping Griffey past next season.

It would be nice to see Griffey go back to Seattle, but I'm not sure that he'd want to uproot his family and move across the country just to finish out his career. At this point, he might decide to re-up with the Reds for less money or to just retire. Either way, he's a class act who has been one of the few constant positives in baseball over the years.

It would be "nice" to see Jr. play in Seattle again but it would not be a wise investment unless they made him a DH (And I don't see that happening). He has had too many injuries to make him valuable in the OF. Seattle needs to make a lot of moves to get the problems resolved that have plagued them for the last few years. They never have a good combination of power, clutch hitting and a strong bullpen.
