with the Orioles, was Chan Ho Park with the Texas Rangers. Homeboy made around 50 million in parts of 4 seasons from 2002-2005 with the Rangers and only won 22 games, that's more than 2 million per win.

Albert Belle was a bust for the Orioles, because they signed him to a 5 year contract, and he only played 2 seasons - 1999-2000. He got paid almost 40 million more for 2001-2003, 3 years that he was technically retired, but didn't announce his retirement because he wanted to get paid, he was injured.

Same exact thing with Mo Vaughn with the NY Mets. He made around 47 million dollars from 2002-2004, but only played the 2002 season and briefly played in 2003.

Same thing with Lenny Dykstra with the Phillies. He signed a 24 million dollar contract to play with the phillies from 1995-1998. But he only played a total of 102 games from 95-96, and sat out 97 and 98, but still got paid his full 24 million.

Park was pretty amazingly bad. Just couldn't stay healthy.

Nick Esasky with the Braves -- signed a big-money (for the time), three year contract, came down with unspecified vertigo over the winter, slapped a handful of singles, and never played again. Health-related flop, kinda sad.

I definately would not even think about throwing Renteria out there. He batted .287/10/72 the year before with the Cardinals. The next year was .276/8/70 with the Red Sox. That is not enough of a drop to be considered a huge bust.

Now you want a bust, I will take the big 3 high priced pitchers the Rockies signed from 1998-2000.

Denny Neagle:
(1995-2000) - 89-47 3.81 ERA
Col (2001-2004) - 19-23 6.12 ERA

Mike Hampton:
(1997-2000) - 63-31 3.27 ERA
Col (2001-2002) - 21-28 5.76 ERA

Darryl Kile:
(1996-1997) - 31-18 3.49 ERA
Col (1998-1999) - 21-28 5.98 ERA

Dykstra helped the phillies to the World Series. Vaughn with the Angels or the Mets was pretty bad, but what about Arod at $25 with anyone?

I would think that 5 $5 mil players or a $10, $10 and $5 would be better.

Chan Ho Park though, wow, right on the money.

The Mets traded Nolan Ryan to the Angels for Jim Fregoi. Fregosi had been an All Star 6 or 7 times as a shortstop during an era when a shortstop who could hit at all was a rarity. He never really got started with the Mets and was never a full time player again. We all know what Ryan did.

I wouldn't consider Belle a bust, he put up some big numbers for Cleveland. How about Brien Taylor, #1 draft pick by the Yankees in 1991. He never got to the majors after hurting his arm in a bar fight.

i'm sorry human beings however the crimson Sox and Yankees opposition has misplaced some spunk between the gamers. confident the followers nonetheless hate one yet another and that could desire to never replace yet there is not greater undesirable blood between gamers. Now the Mets and Phillies fairly hate one yet another. You even have Cole Hammels going off on the mouth already. there is only no plot anymore between the crimson Sox and Yankees. they only play the video games and that's it.

Gregg Jefferies with anyone. He was THE most hyped rookie bust in my lifetime. He never amounted to NEAR the hype he received coming into the big leagues.
