Was that cool or what. He's still a Red Sox at heart. I love that they brought him back to throw out the first pitch. He's still a fan favorite in Boston.

Speaking of that, does anyone know where I can read about the original intent of baseball? In other words, I heard that the homerun in baseball wasnt the original intent. It was more of a base to base scoring type of game. Thanks for any help!

There are ticket brokers that are selling tickets for the World Series already. The Rockies tickets just went on sale today for Game 3,4 and 5, but the Red Sox games aren't on sale yet. How do they already have tickets, aside from buying season tickets to every franchise in the league?

So I'm going to have to say that my favorite BoSox player (and this is easy because I'm not much a fan of the team as a whole) is by far is Jonathan Papelbon. But not even for his talent, I just think the guy's personality is hilarious. I saw the clip they showed of him dancing with goggles on before game 6 and then last night as they celebrated, he ran through with goggles on again. He's pretty good with the Irish Jig. If anyone comes across a video on YouTube or somewhere else, let me know.

I think the whole Joe torrie story is over hyped
I am a Yankees fan and appreciate what he has done but it was time for a change and the Yankees thought this will be a nice way to fire him

What happened this season, that happened only one other time, during the 2000 season?

The clue is that it has to do with the standings.

For those fans like me whose team has been eliminated from postseason play, are you already looking ahead to who your team might sign during the offseason, trades that might be made, etc.?

While baseball season is great, I'm also a huge fan of everything that goes on after the season is over. Is there anything in particular you're looking forward to about regarding your team?

I mean you got the New England Patroits at 7-0, Boston College at 7-0 and ranked #2 in the BCS, the Boston Red Sox in the World Series, great promises with the Boston Celtics because of newly acquired Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, and the Boston Bruins doing well so far in the early ice season.

I'm not a Boston Fan but it must be great to be one right now.

I am a Red Soxs Fan, I do remember what happened with Mr Buckner... But it was like the 2nd inning and I just happen to say Bill Buckner, and everyone looked at me like they wanted to kill me? I wasn't trying to jinx my team... But will anyone ever forget about what happened with Bill Buckner?

I thought that the Indians vs. the Red Sox was the World Series. I don't understand what exactly the World Series is, as well as why it is called the World Series when it is only American teams.

I know I am. No bandwagon fan here but I am so tired of having my heart ripped out by Cleveland sports teams. The media has tagged the ACLS debacle The Collapse. Will we EVER get a championship team in this city

Seattle outfielder, Ichiro Suzuki was shown cheering wildly for the Seattle Seahawks yesterday. I am sure he grew up cheering Japanese sports teams but has enough class to cheer the local boys. Unlike Lebron, another icon unable to bring Cleveland a title, who wore a NYY cap to Jacobs Field. If anyone does not think this is a question, then just move on. I am just looking for basic input as there was Ichiro - from Japan, no less, cheering for the Seahawks, and I do mean very spirited cheering.
