Who is the most famous athlete to play professionally for the city he or she originally came from?

What do you think would be the best way to manage the Red Sox right now with NL rules. It would be hard to take Youk out of the lineup right now with the way he's hitting. I wish we could move some people around and get lugo out and keep Youk in. I know it won't happen but I wish. Do you think Ortiz is heath enough to play 1st with the knee?

Okay I posted a question yesterday and the title was 10 easy points. The question was to predict the score and the winner of yesterday's game 7 and you'll get the best answer and 10 points. Anyway I got reported and I lost 10 points because it was a "violation". How is that a violation? Anyway the reason the guy reported me because the question was too hard.

I am an admitted hometown fan. I root for anything Ohio and my loyalty is to northeast Ohio. Ohioans have as much passion for the people they hate as the people they love. I was brought up hating the Yankees, Notre Dame, and the Cowboys. I think mostley because so many other people liked these teams rather than their home team (bandwagoner's). So is Boston becoming that. The bandwagon team for baseball, football, and it seems since the big off season maybe even basketball!? What are your thoughts?

I have just gotten into watching baseball and have noticed that quite a few players seem to have burnt hats, is there any particular reason they do this?

I have a feeling this has never happened before because the Rockies are a fairly new club but I could be wrong. When was the last time they've played, post season or interleague? A bonus question, what is the "rarest" matchup in baseball? Who do you think will win? I'm pulling for Colorado.

It's hard to say, since most of the fans are bandwagoners already.

Seriously I have been reading all the questions since the playoffs started and have seen everyone swearing by their favorite team; from the Yankees to the Phillies and Diamondbacks jeez even the Orioles who didn't even make it. But all these teams got smashed. And of course the relevant statistics said they would.
I respect loyalty and all but does anyone who is a student of the numbers and the game of baseball really think that the Red Sox can take a game from Colorado? Honeltly, I'd like some serious objecivism. If you are just going to say, "ohhhh sox in 4 cuz dey reelie roole, and bi the way I live in Boston", please refrain from resonding.
We all know Colorado's numbers and capabilities. If you really think the Sox, who are a great team by the way, will win, then why and how?

As most of you know I am a Tiger Fan For Life. I was forced to wear this logo because of a bet I lost. I was rooting for Cleveland to win because they are a Central Division team; but they couldnt tie the knot. They blew a 3 games to 1 lead.
Shame on them for giving The AL Central a bad name. At least MY Tigers made it to the world series last year.

Your thoughts?

No dobut Joe Torre is probably one of the best coaches in baseball. But I think he has no class for calling a $5million dollar per year salary plus $3 million more based on performance an "insult." How much money do people need these days to be satisfied with things? There's people that would love to manage the Yankees for free if they had the oportunity. I've totally lost respect for him. Am I the only one?

...fans throughout the ALCS by being cocky, arrogant, and stupid themselves here on YAnswers?

90% of the comments/questions here after the game from Red Sox fans have been rude rants, obnoxious put downs, or cocky "in your face" taunts.

Don't you think it's pretty stupid to be complaining about Cleveland fans being arrogant and cocky when Boston fans are doing the EXACT SAME THING???

Why the hypocracy, Red Sox fans?

Okay, my girlfriend and I live in Minneapolis, and her favorite team, the Red Sox, are now in the World Series, and she wants a Red Sox bra. (Similar to the one in the movie "Anger Management" worn by Heather Graham.) And with her birthday coming up soon, I would love to get her one, but I can't find one ANYWHERE! I've looked all over the internet and can't find one. Does anyone know where I could be able to find one for her within the next few weeks? Anyone's help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to find the name of the song that played during Manny's interview tonight after the ALCS and I don't know what it is. It was the same song that played at the end of Fever Pitch and I'm just trying to figure out what it's called. Thanks.

Listen it's not my fault my city is huge and we pack our stadium and our owner is not pocketing all his cash and is paying big money for good players and has a general manger who knows how to deal with good players to get them here... So here's an idea to those fans who say the Yankees and Red Sox buy there way to the World Series... Get more people to come to your game and then you will be able to afford them too... Anyone Agree or Disagree?

The Indians think it is enjoyed just as much in Boston as in Cleveland. They can go back to Cleveland and slug beer along with the Cleveland fans now. The Redsox are celebrating into the wee hours of the morning. Champaigne tastes best in the home ball park. Well,..... the hometown fans get to celebrate right there in Fenway Park right amongst the team itself. :-) Thanks to the most underated pitcher in all of baseball..
Eat your heart out all the Globe sportswriters and other Boston Fans who thought someone other than Disquey Matzusaki should pitch this game. He got the win in the most important game he will ever pitch in his history of baseball. I think he should be allowed to throw his gyro pitch more often. On to the World Series. Colorado Rockys ... Go Red Sox

Asking if the red sox can beat the rockies??? of course!!! I mean cmon, i'll admit u guys have a great run but the nlcs was no way as close to the talent in the alcs. U rockies beat a d-backs team that would probably lose 4 in a row to cleveland...and u guy think your gonna run over the red sox? All i can say is be careful of what you say....we made the yanks and now the indians look stupid thinking they won the series...will the rockies be next?!!!

2007-10-21 18:14:14 · 12 answers · asked by reignjah 3

Who is going to win the world series, I hope the Rockies win, only because this is their first time. I'm actually a Dodger fan but I'll settle for the Rockies on this one.
