I have a feeling this has never happened before because the Rockies are a fairly new club but I could be wrong. When was the last time they've played, post season or interleague? A bonus question, what is the "rarest" matchup in baseball? Who do you think will win? I'm pulling for Colorado.

By "rarest" I mean, for example. The yankees play boston all the time, same division, major rivals, etc. Another rare matchup in my opinion would be the A's playing the Marlins.

D-Cleveland Ohio- WAHHHH! Quit crying and go out gracefully.

The Rockies have played great against the NL west and central..but I doubt they'll be able to handle an AL east powerhouse. The Rockies may have won 2-3 in June, but that was June. We'll see how they do in the playoffs...Sox win it in 6

Summer of 2007 Rockies won 2 of 3 and outscored Boston by 30-5 or something like that.

The Rockies out scored the Red Sox 30-5 & took 2 out of 3 games & should play well against the Sox & I think they will win the series

Being from Mass, of course I'm rooting for my home team. I am a fanatic about baseball. I don't ever recall these 2 teams playing. I really don't know what the rarest match up is. Who do I think will win? The Red Sox of course. Look at the comeback they just made. Everyone thought, myself included, they blew it again. They do have a history of being great in the beginning, and fading out in the end, but we keep hoping. I honestly didn't think after a 3-1 loss, that they would pull it off, but they did and I'm proud of my team. So I really believe they will win. One Bostonian can only hope.
edit. So all you people who gave a thumbs down on my answer. here's a rasberry for you. 13-1 guess Red Sox aren't so bad after all. Go SOX!
