Okay I posted a question yesterday and the title was 10 easy points. The question was to predict the score and the winner of yesterday's game 7 and you'll get the best answer and 10 points. Anyway I got reported and I lost 10 points because it was a "violation". How is that a violation? Anyway the reason the guy reported me because the question was too hard.

It's probably because you included "10 points" in the title, which I think they consider against their rules. I had the same happen to me one time - the question was valid, but they considered it to be a violation because I mentioned points.

Stupid rules, in my opinion.

I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I think that anyone can report a violation against anyone else, regarding any question or answer, at any time. In other words I don't think it necessarily has to be a violation, if someone just doesn't like you they can report you.

I imagine Yahoo must get many violation notices every day. They probably can't investigate them all, so I wonder if the removal of the question and the loss of 10 points is automatic.

You can appeal if you think you've been wrongly reported.

Anyone can report anything. Don't sweet it because it doesn't matter. you could appeal but it's not worth the time if you ask me. I got reported for no reason a few times. It's lame.
