Fans in general are cocky and arrogant. It's what makes them sports fans. These are people who riot and trash the town when their team loses...and do the same thing when they win.
They will always be hypocrites. Fans hate other fans more than the teams hate each other. At least the teams have respect for each other.

I have not been cocky nor arrogant about the Red Sox.
I'm a die hard Sox fan, but at the same time, we played a awesome team, both teams fought to win the pennant, but the Sox prevailed.
I'm not stupid enough to not say job well done to Cleveland, they had alot of heart and played a good series.
It's the band wagon fans that come on here and make real Sox fans look stupid with all there *********.
I want to say congrats to Cleveland for playing a tough series. You guys tried your hardest. The Sox just came out on top.

Most fans do it but it seems Boston fans do get a little too cocky & arrogant but some Indian fans were doing the same after they got a 3-1 lead in the series but I think the Colorado Rockies will take away all that arrogance & ********* from the Red Sox fans when their team lose in World Series. Go Rockies

Ever think that it's retaliation for all of the cocky Indians fans we encountered on here when they were up 3-1, saying nothing but bad things about Boston? Not to say it's ALL Indians fans, but I'm willing to bet fans of other teams such as the Yankees and people who are casual baseball fans who jumped on the bandwagon and talked smack every day.
I think the ones like myself who stuck by the Sox even when losing 3-1 have the right to brag.

for some reason i didnt have the option to vote, but i really liked & agreed with the first answer. Im a die hard Cleveland fan & I kind of agree that in sports, its like a license for idiots to act like idiots or something. I went to a college footbal game the other day, & even though I had a great time, there were some really obnoxious people there taunting the other teams fans & the obnoxious fans were rooting for the same team i was. My conclusion was this, they were mostly college kids & young so probably not the most mature group of people when mixed with alcohol in that kind of enviornment, so i think thats the kind of people that you unfortunately have to tolerate no matter what team we are talking about.

Look, there are gobs of poor sports here on Y/A baseball. But look above you about 10 entries or so at 'karl1569'. There is a gentleman Red Sox fan. Above him about 15 or so there is 'Dave', a perfectly respectable Indian fan. I agree with you a LOT, BUT-- when guys like karl and Dave show up, it makes tolerating all the meanness here worthwhile. Give credit, too. Not everyone who likes baseball is a jerk.

Come on....get a grip. If the Indians won, they would be doing the same thing. Any team that wins a big game, yahoo answers gets swarmed by their "bandwagon" fans. It's the fans that you don't see here all year and then show up when their team wins to mouth off, that annoy the heck out of me.

Seriously I am a Redsox fan and I was on the edge of my seat all night knowing that it was completely possible for the Indians to come out of nowhere with a breakout inning. They played thier hearts out and if they would have beat Boston i would have been rooting for them in the WS. It was a spectacular series, now on to the Rockies, who I think after being Idle for such a long time waiting might have some problems but I guess we will have to wait till Wednesday to find out. Hold your heads up Indians, you pushed us to the edge. Hope to see you again next year...

Oh come on. We aren't that bad. It will be years before we talk about our 27 World Series rings. Red Sox fans are passionate and have been filling Fenway for years. We get to enjoy this. The Indians were scary good and should properly be commended for a great series.

I agree. I was for them in 2004, but Boston fans are no longer cute. The Red Sox have turned into the Yankees very quickly.
