There are ticket brokers that are selling tickets for the World Series already. The Rockies tickets just went on sale today for Game 3,4 and 5, but the Red Sox games aren't on sale yet. How do they already have tickets, aside from buying season tickets to every franchise in the league?

Traditionally, they've had buyers acting for them by standing in line for tickets, or getting online and purchasing tickets as quickly as possible. They also, obviously, buy tickets from season ticket holders.

There's a legal argument going on right now with Ticketmaster suing a company called RMG Technologies, claiming that RMG has been utilizing a bot to purchase huge chunks of tickets from Ticketmaster, cutting down severely the chances of individuals having a shot at said tickets.
