I am a Red Soxs Fan, I do remember what happened with Mr Buckner... But it was like the 2nd inning and I just happen to say Bill Buckner, and everyone looked at me like they wanted to kill me? I wasn't trying to jinx my team... But will anyone ever forget about what happened with Bill Buckner?

The worst part is that people still blame him for the Red Sox losing that series. That's wrong for 3 reasons.

1. They lost 3 other games that had nothing to do with that play.

2. They were up by 2 runs, with 2 outs in the Mets' half of the ninth with nobody on base. If they hadn't given up multiple hits and a wild pitch first, the game would have been over before that play ever happened.

3. The game was already tied at that point. If Buckner makes that play the game isn't over, it just goes to the 11th inning. Sure, maybe the Red Sox would have won, but it's just as possible the Mets would have won anyway. It's impossible to ever know for sure.

Nope, unfortunately that will never-ever be forgotten.

I thought maybe you uttered the words Bill Buckner when Julio Lugo dropped that relatively simple pop-up. Had that sparked an Indians rally and the Red Sox lost that thing would be beaten to death nearly(but not quite) as much as the Buckner play.

It is forgotten. We finally won the Series, and that erased the curse. Buckner has evn gone out now and is able to laugh at it; he's in a movie as himself !
Good for him, and good for us.
