This morning the Rockies' ticketing provider Paciolan experienced a system wide outage that is impacting all of their North American customers. They are working hard to resume service as soon as possible and apologize to their customers and all fans for this impact.

1:32 p.m. Rockies spokesman Jay Alves announces the suspension of ticket sales for the World Series today after the team's Web site received 8.5 million hits in 90 minutes, crashing the MLB ticket server. Plans for the resumption of sales are expected to be announced this afternoon, Rockies officials said.

Ticket sales have been temporarily suspended until they work out computer issues. 8.5 million hits in about 90 minutes and only a few hundred tickets actually sold. Even getting through didn't guarantee a person could buy tickets. A lot of folks got dropped off the server in the middle of transactions, which has to be particularly heartbreaking.

You would have to buy it through a third party site. I've bought tickets from Stubhub.com for a lot of things. Check it out. It's not going to be cheap though I'll tell you that

They're back up now. I'm in the holding room again and hadn't been able to get in for over an hour. They were temporarily down and started back up at 1.

i heard that no tickets were sold yet online due to network overflow. I heard there are angry mobs everywhere :)

I read they are selling by internet only? that is crazy but keep trying.
