What happened this season, that happened only one other time, during the 2000 season?

This probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but it is true.

The Toronto Blue Jays finished at exactly 83-79 both this season and in 2000, and those are the only two times that has happened.

I am going to guess that none of the teams in the NL playoffs made the playoffs last year.
