I love the offseason almost as much as the season itself. I love to see what teams are doing to better themselves, I love the hope that every team has off a few "key" signings. I love being dissapointted that the Phillies do not make the moves I hope for but do make the move that no one expected. I think the anticipation is the greatest part, every year you see one team make a rush on a certain aspect of their team and you think they have a chance to do some great things (see Baltimore bullpen 2007) only to be dissapointed later in the year when that does not work out.
It has become another season in itself. Every Year you wait to see who will be making the big signing, like this year, who does get A-Rod. It is not even fully about my team as much as it is about Baseball in general, it gives you something to talk about and debate in the time of year when nothing is happening on the field.

It is the off season moves that dictate how next year will play out. As a Dodgers fan their situation is about the same as the Jays. Both teams have enough good young talent to make an impact next year without having to make too many moves. The Dodgers have Kemp, Loney and Billingsley at 23 years old, and Russell Martin at 24 and Ethier at 25. With this years experience under their belt they should all be better next year. The question is going to be starting pitching with Lowe, Schmidt, and Penny with respect to their age and/or health. I would like to see the Dodgers pick up a solid starting pitcher without having to deal any of their young future stars, which might be an impossible task. It could be very close next year as to who will have the better record between the Dodgers and the Jays but both teams seem to be on the rise.

I'm looking forward to trades and acquisitions that the Angels may make. We're off to a good start with the GM stepping down.
I'm also looking forward to getting some things done around the house, baseball season takes up a lot of my time.

The AL Cy Young and Rookie Of The Year Awards both look to be heading (likely heading) to Boston. And maybe even the Manager award.
If Rodriguez opts out -- and he will, unless the Yankees make a tasty extension offer before he does -- the entire ARod Waltz around the leagues will be amusing. (Somewhere between October 29 and November 11, depending on when the Series ends, we'll have our answer. Opt, Alex, opt!!!)

Its in the Yankees nature ('77 - '07) too buy players. So of course every off season is exciting, not as exciting as the playoffs but still gets you involved.
I am excited about,
(1. Johan Santana - He wants to win and get paid. *Hint Hint* Yankees?
(2. A-Rod - A hint has been made he will come back. Like, trying to buy a new NY Apartment.
(3. Pitchers & Draft - The Yankees better get some pitcher in the offseason. I KNOW they will!

With the number of free agents and possible trades out there this should make for a very interesting off season.
A few teams could end up with a entire new makeover.

No. I'm more interested in the world series. I'm a brewers fan but I havn't paid attention to them since they were eliminated. The world series is more interesting.
