I think MLB should have the DH or no DH

Whenever two teams play from both leagues it becomes a joke.

Whether they meet each other in interleague play or the World Series it's just stupid. They should have the same rule in all of baseball including the minor leagues.

But it probably will not happen because the players' union. Isn't it sad that the players' union is more powerful than Bud Selig and MLB? They pretty much get the last say. Too bad the fans can't.

What you think?

Throw me some ballparks in the AL and NL that are hitter ball parks (easy to hit homers), and pitcher ball parks (hard to hit homers)

tops for each in each league (1 pitchers in AL, 1 batter in AL, and same for NL)

gets 10 points.

I've check the team web site, and they dont list the bleachers, nor does ticket master or anyone else. Does an avid Mets fan have any answers to this? Are they game day tix only?

He was a replacement player and not a member of the MLBPA, which is the reason some players are not in video games.

Also, who did the Yankees commemorate in 2000 with their armbands?

I notice that the all powerful Yankees are 1-5 so far on this road trip, loosing to COL and SF which are two of NLs worst teams.
My question is: Why did George Steinbugger secretly replace all the super stars with minor league players wearing the big boy jerseys? I watched one of the games on TV and the Yank players always seemed to be hiding their faces. Or maybe they were all abducted by a UFO and these are the replacements!!

You have to tell me why you think they will win and you CAN NOT PICK YOUR FAVORITE TEAM. You must tell me your favorite team and I will award 10 points to the person who gives me the best reason some other team will win.

I am not advocating a return to this practice, but does anyone recall in MLB they used to wear black leather shoes with what amounted to little steel knives on the bottom. It was even rumoured that some guys would sharpen them with a file. In those days, breaking up a double play usually consisted of sliding into second, foot high in the air, knives first. At almost every game at least once, the 2nd baseman or shortstop would be half-carried off the field with the bottom of his pants literally dripping blood. A little while later, the TV announcer would inform us that he took 13 or so stitches to the leg down in the locker room and yet the guy would be in the starting lineup the very next day. Even the catcher was not immune to the "flying knives of death", but he was somewhat protected by the shinguards.
This was in the days when the home plate umpire wore a chest protector that looked like he had a big thick mattress hanging around his neck.
Does anyone remember this stuff?

I remember as a kid, going to the Sunday double header at Yankee or Shea Stadium. These were not makeup games, but were scheduled as double headers. We planted ourselves in the hot sun and proceeded to watch 2 baseball games with a 30 minute break between games. In those days, the players were not coddled overpaid spoiled prima donnas. They were told to play 2 games and they did. No bottled water, no Gatoraide, etc. They had a water fountain in the dugout and that was it. The first game started at 1:05PM and the second game endend sometime around 8:30PM.
All this for one single admission that was a hell of a lot cheaper (even counting inflation) than today.
I used to love those double headers. Does anyone else out there remember them?

We often hear about how a ball player is trying to beat, or has beaten, Babe Ruth's hit record, but have they really beat it? Is hitting a baseball with a metal bat the same as with a wooden bat? Also, are today's baseballs designed exactly the same as in the Babe's time?
