I think MLB should have the DH or no DH

Whenever two teams play from both leagues it becomes a joke.

Whether they meet each other in interleague play or the World Series it's just stupid. They should have the same rule in all of baseball including the minor leagues.

But it probably will not happen because the players' union. Isn't it sad that the players' union is more powerful than Bud Selig and MLB? They pretty much get the last say. Too bad the fans can't.

What you think?

Chipmaker, fans worldwide don't have to get over it. I'm a fan, I pay the ballplayers salary when I buy tickets to a game. Most importantly, I'm an American which means I can speak my mind.

Oh, and think of a different analogy other than the McDonald's, you've already used it about 800 times.

they actually do no longer could exchange something, and that they probably won't, until eventually the time includes upload 2 extra communities to the yankee League. whilst that element comes, you're able to be able to make certain 4 divisions of four communities each and each, without wild card. that may no longer take place for 2 many years, although, if in any respect, so there may well be no actual modifications for quite a while. each and every time somebody's well known group has a extra powerful checklist than the weakest branch's winner, yet fails to make the playoffs, there's a extensive outcry in want of realignment. information flash- no rely the way you realign communities, it fairly is often going to take place to one group or yet another. you may no longer realign communities basically for that. the final you may wish for is a geographical consistency for communities, so their commute is constrained each and every time possible. The 162 activity schedule is unlikely everywhere- the gross sales that the extra beneficial video games create isn't a luxury for many communities. Plus, baseball is a activity that cherishes its archives like no different sport, and slicing the schedule could cement all of on the instant's archives consistently. DH rule- no one buys a value ticket to make certain a glass hit, so while you are going to do something, in simple terms undertake it interior the national League. you do no longer want your pitchers getting harm working the bases, or getting hit on the hand with a pitch. Plus, the offense it fairly is further by utilising putting an somewhat hitter into the lineup makes it possible for communities to function yet another reliever or 2 to the bullpen instead of the pinch hitters which you decide on interior the NL. The playoff format is in simple terms positive as that's. in case you're able to make the 1st around ultimate of seven, that would not be too undesirable. in simple terms determine you initiate the season early sufficient (by utilising approximately 3/28 or so) which you're no longer enjoying the worldwide sequence properly into the middle of November. get rid of the worldwide Baseball classic, so which you're no longer delaying the initiating each and every 3 years. We created it, and we don't even care approximately it, because of the fact this is secondary to our common communities and their pursuit of a worldwide sequence identify.

No.

But it is well past time that fans worldwide get over their important selves on this matter. The DH is what it is, where it is.

Oh, and da Dodgers ain't gonna goes backs to Brooklyns, neithers.

Damn McDonald's for having hamburgers AND cheeseburgers on the menu. Consumers never know what to order!

-----
You do not pay ballplayer salaries; you slightly enable the team or owner to be able to do that. This is basic and correct economic theory, but keep on believing the delusion if you like.

When the time arrives that the DH is a more significant matter than a slice of curdled milk on a greasy beef sandwich, I'll craft a new metaphor. Wouldn't be hard. This one makes the point, or does to open minds. Meanwhile, you as a baseball consumer can exercise your economic freedom to support and patronize only NL, DH-free teams. Celebrate.

I agree with you when it comes to the DH or not. Personally, I think they should get rid of it. Not because it makes Interleague games very one-sided, but because it makes for more of an interesting game. To watch a bunch of players go up to bat and just swing for the fences or play station to station baseball is so uninteresting. I like the National League style ball better because baserunners push the envelope when it comes to scoring runs.

But let's remember, Interleague play is for the fans to watch and see the 2 leagues play each other in the regular season. Although the novelty of it has somewhat worn off, that's what it is. Fans want to see the AL pitchers bat because it's different. The games are always fair, it's just the 2 leagues play a different style of ball.

I would love to see a common rule across both leagues regarding the DH, whether it stays or goes. It will probably never happen, though, because of the "tradition" concerning "America's Pastime." Personally, I think football has been America's Pastime for quite some time.

Also, I do enjoy seeing the AL pitchers try to hit. A lot of them look really silly, although there are some that looked pretty darn good (who knew Johan Santana had a triple in him?)

I like the idea of the DH with one (major) change. The original concept was for a designated-pinch-hitter for the pitcher. It should go back to that concept.

If the pitcher has changed since the last time the DH has taken his turn in the batting order, a new DH needs to be installed into the lineup. This may even cut down on the insane number of pitching changes that managers make.

I think their should be DH in both leagues. Pitchers are getting paid to pitch, not hit. Other than that, it would make managing alot easier. Look at Charlie Manuel for example. Brought Cleveland to the playoffs in the AL. He goes to Philadelphia and struggles with deciding whether to leave his pitcher in or take him out, as well as double switches. Ever notice that pitchers that have more innings are usually in the AL? That's because there's no worry whether or not to pinch-hit for him.

They should just abolish the DH. If a player isn't able to field and bat then he should retire. It's definitely the MLBPA that's keeping it going.
