What happens if a baseball hits an offensive player while he's running towards a base. I'm asking this because I just saw a highlight tonight on Sportscenter where there was a groundball and it almost hit someone running to second. So is there any rule about a baseball hitting a player running the bases?

This is crazy,i cant believe A's lost.We had a 5-3 lead and then all of a sudden Alan embree's walking guys with only one out to win. Then he allows a double ,another freakin walk ,then a homer. We could have ended our losing streak, but the Indians took it 8-5.I know the indian's fans were happy ,cause there's nothin like 9th inning magic, but as an A's fan I was frusturated and shocked.Any predictions for tommorows game with Indians.

Being as my beloved twins went into the 12th inning today (beating toronto! woohoo!) it got me wonder, what is the most innings that a game has gone into in the mlb? I'm sure i could look it up, but i want to see your answers! (plus this is more fun! thanks!)

his first error was with 2 outs and a runner on 3rd in a tie game in the 7th, he dropped a ball and couldnt get the out, the run scored and it wasd 2-1 stl
then he tied up the game in the 9th, just to do the same thing in the 11th inning by dropping another one and the mets lost 5-3 because of jose valentin's "outstanding" defense

The bullpen is terrible they need to get rid of grilli, jones, and rodney. this team needs to make some trades quickly possibly for texas' gagne, otsuka, or wilson. the bad thing is they want the tigers top prospect maybin and miller by what im hearing which is ridiculous. todd jones needs to retire right now or the tigers should trade him. why not call jordan tata who is doing great in toledo so is miner who will be joining the team shortly. everything is fine with the tigers except for their pen. monroe might as well be traded too. so if you have comments or trades you would like to see happen post it. Todd Jones you stink!

I'm fourteen and in august I'm taking a trip with my parents to New York. When we are there we are going to see the Yanks play the Tigers. I am a Twins fan and I know some of you are pissed that Justin Mourneau won the MVP, but i hate the Tigers so I will be cheering for the Yankees. If I wear my Twins hat will I be hasseled? Should I just by a Yankees hat?

.....and he was on the mound at just the right time of day.....would his head cause a total eclipse of the sun? Would the natives of Borneo think that they had disapointed their Gods, and start commiting human sacrifices?

How about the worst? Have there been any decent ones made in the past 5 years or so, because a majority of them seem to have been made in the 80s...

I knew with Nomar struggling they would call up Loney and force Nomar to third.

No one believed me

Here's what I said 2 months ago...

"
He's the consistent power hitter that they're missing in their lineup!!! Why can't they use him??? After alllll their offensive struggles why haven't they called Loney up?? "

And ever sine he came back up from the minors dude's been on fire hitting .432 while replacing nomar at 1st base

and earlier this week the dodgers moved nomar to third to make room for loney at 1st

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-dodgers-garciaparra&prov=ap&type=lgns

And look waht happens in loney's first start at 1b while nomar at 3rd...loney hits a home run!!!!!

I sooooo predicted this would happen and I knew this move would be good for the dodgers

HA!!

Just lettin it all out thats all..

thoughts?

This Yankees "27 in 07" that pops up all over this site is a laugh a minute. To save yourself any more embarrassment, you should change it to "27 in 08 we hope".

The new buzz is - - Angels 02 in 07!!

I think that:

*Adam Dunn, Kyle Lohse, and a minor league prospect should go to the ChiSox for Mark Buehrle, because Buehrle was expected to be traded, and the Reds really need a southpaw pitcher, and Lohse is attractive to teams because of his 93 mph fastball, and Dunn has monster power.

What do you think?

Suggest your own trades too!

Of the top of my head i could name these Dynasties....
The 60s Celtics
The 80s Lakers
The 80s Celtics
The late 80s Detroit
The 90s Bulls
The 94-95 Rockets
The early 2000s Lakers
And now the Spurs,
