The bullpen is terrible they need to get rid of grilli, jones, and rodney. this team needs to make some trades quickly possibly for texas' gagne, otsuka, or wilson. the bad thing is they want the tigers top prospect maybin and miller by what im hearing which is ridiculous. todd jones needs to retire right now or the tigers should trade him. why not call jordan tata who is doing great in toledo so is miner who will be joining the team shortly. everything is fine with the tigers except for their pen. monroe might as well be traded too. so if you have comments or trades you would like to see happen post it. Todd Jones you stink!

I believe the Tigers are thinking just like you and you can expect something to happen soon. Their hitting and starting pitching is good but they could use a solid closer if they expect to go far into the playoffs.

The Tigers don't want to seem like they are panicking because they are in a pretty good position right now. Getting rid of their closer would be a problem, as well as overhauling their entire bullpen. Jones is the weakest point on that entire pitching staff, but I think they should stick with him until the playoffs or off-season.
Now for the rest of the bullpen, Rodney and Zumaya are definitely the stars and need to stay. Zumaya just needs to cut out the Guitar Hero and stay healthy and his job as set-up man will be covered. Bringing in Otsuka is a great idea, especially now that Gagne is back, but I don't trust Gagne anymore.
Overall, the Tigers have some work cut out for them with deals to be made. However, all of this can be avoided if Todd Jones just learns how to pitch.

My opinion is they should get rid of Jones and let Zumaya or somebody be a closer. I don't think Grilli is all that bad. Rodney's not at his best now i say they atleast keep him for a while and see if he starts to get better again.

3 hits, 3 runs....Todd Jones blew another save against Texas recently, and with Rodney (he's not much worse or better) and Zumaya on the DL, it doesn't look like Detroit has many other options, maybe they could have traded Maroth or Jones to the Cardinals with better results.

I agree, it;s getting to the point where I cringe when I see Jonesy coming out.
As far as trades, I do know that Maybin and Miller are both UNTOUCHABLE!!!!

I always cringe when Jonesie takes the mound. But somehow he seems to win a lot of games. I'd definately prefer if they got someone else, but who?

Man that pisses me off when Jones blows it. You need your closer to be clutch and lately, he's been getting more and more behind in the counts and throwing melons out there.
His stuff is mediocre at best.
