in the past one could say, cal ripkin jr., ryne sandberg, dale murphey, ........
these guys play/played for the love of the game.

Ken Griffey Jr. - The out poring of the fans in Seattle, when the Reds played the Mariners, was proof how much this guy is still loved and respected. He loves the game and said he is still having fun. He was very overwhelmed what happened in Seattle. He has said, with no disrespect to the Reds, he wants to finish his career in Seattle.

I love to watch the smile on the faces of Ryan Howard and Jose Reyes. For reckless abandon I watch Jeter, Ryan Freel, and Eric Byrnes. Thome asked for lower salaries from the White Sox and the Cubs because he loves Chicago and baseball.
I forgot Sean Casey is the friendliest player to meet.

Brandon Webb. He is one of the best pitchers and he is very grounded. Whenever you seem him in a interview he gives all of his teammates credit for the win -- even on the days he throws a two hitter.

Without question Jim Thome. If you saw him walking down the street you would think he was your long lost best friend. Very approachable, great with the kids and a good guy. He will sign for anybody if you want his autograph. He loves the game of baseball and always plays hard.

Mike Cameron, you see him work really hard in every play and he is one of the few players i see smile when he, or the team makes a good play
