How often do they test the athletes? Are baseball players free from any kind of performance drugs with the stricter rules?

Yes, probably the old anabolic type of steroids literally bit the dust when MLB instituted it's drug testing policy. However, now it's the use of HGH which their current tests can not detect. Also, Bonds and, no doubt, others ( Mc Gwire ,Sosa, Giambi etc.) used synthetic types of steroids that couldn't be initially detected via limited testing systems and are part of the ongoing BALCO Lab investigation proceedings!

No, they test the players at random and the GM's every 17 days.

No. The rule is not to use them, but MLB testing is so weak, it's not even funny. There are guys juicing it. Who they are, I'm not sure, but I know they are.
It's really sad. I question every homerun or pitch close 100: is it natural or did steroids help them?

Most players use Human Growth Hormones now. I don't think it's detectable by science yet.

Players know the weak testing routine and know how to get around it.

Nope just look at some of the players and you can tell they use steriods but they play good so MLB lets them slide.

No, it will never be. And it's not steroids that's the problem now, it's HGH. A lot of substances can't be tested for yet.
