They both Cheated on their wives, and they both were the best players of their generations, and they both hit 700 plus homeruns, what an easy question.

I don't see much in common other than their ability to hit a long ball. They played in a different era...Ruth made the home run popular..In the early years he had more home runs then some of the teams he played against. I think "Home Run" Baker won a home run title with 9 or 12 homers one year. While you can't deny the greatness of Bonds and Aaron, Ruth still should be considered the premier home run hitter of all time. Think of this, he had more than 300 fewer times at bat then Aaron. When he started playing ball, he was a pitcher for a number of years (and what a pitcher). That resulted in many missed at bats and home runs. For that matter, Ted Williams in his prime was in the military for a total of 5 years. He still ended up with over 500 homers. Had it not been for those 5 years in the military, it is a good bet that he would have at least been up there in total homers with the great Willie Mays and also Sammy Sosa. Also, both Ruth and Williams had life time batting averages over 340. Ruth had the bubbly personality and Bonds and Williams were moody.

A: Barry Bonds never admitted or was caught cheating on his wife or using steroids, so stop using that argument.

B: They are both 2 of the 3 greatest home run hitters of all-time.
