I just think the Yankees make a big mistake by letting Joe torre to continue being the manager. I think the Yankees should it fired him last yea after losing to the Detroit tiger, come on get serious the Yankees have the heights payroll in MLB and the closets they have to winning a world series was in 2001 against Arizona. Is been 6 year since they won it all in 2000. I just think the player don’t listen to Joe Torre anymore is time for him to get out of New York. How many more years are the Yankees are going to accept losing in the division series playoffs with joe torre, because i think the yankees would not make it to the world series this year neither.

The commercialization of sports has sunk to a new low (previously attained when the MLB sold out to Warner Bros by allowing advertisements for the Spider Man 2 movie on the actual bases during a game).

That in Britain, 'Baseball' is called rounders and is only played by teenage girls in games classes while the lads are off playing rugby. It makes me laugh to see these 'hard men' snarling at eachother and pulling faces then running round like girls

Should it not have been a ground rule double? Or at least considered a 4 base error? Did the scorers assume that because the ball was aiming for his giant dome that he had no shot at catching it?

We all know Derek Jeter is awesome... he's a no-doubt first-ballot HOFer. And we all know that Jose Reyes is the most exciting young SS (if not player) on the planet... but who will be the best in NY in 2008? Will this be the year that Jeter is supplanted in the Big Apple?

Hi I am team mom for my sons tball team
(3-4 year olds). I was wanting some ideas and to get your response. They have a banner contest and want some ideas for that. Also about trophies the league does not provide them I was wanting to get some for the team, should the parents pay for them or should the coach and team mom get together and buy them for the team, they cost about $7-12 each not a lot but what sould we ask of the parents. Also what about having the end of the season party, at chuck e cheese or should we have it at a park i know the park will be cheaper and fun for the kids. What about stuff for the parents to wear for game days do you thing that they would like something made up for them. Yall let me know and if you can think of anything else let me know. Thank you Looksouts team mom.

The tickets for regular season do not go on sale until March 3rd. I usually pay around $40 for my tickets, but since they won the world Series, i am wondering if the price will go up this year??

This is my first head coaching job. I played baseball up through college so all I can remember is team rules for my college baseball team. Now I am going to start coaching a middle school softball team and I can't think of any team rules that would apply to them. Stuff like miss a practice and you miss the next game kind of thing. Thanks.

There seems to be a lot of love for the Mets here. Is it because there are a lot of New Yorkers? As I see it, the Mets have a horrible pitching staff this year(especially with Pedro out until who knows when). Their ace is 41 years old, El Duque is average, but the second best pitcher on the squad. The bullpen is average at best. Now they have a good offense, but we know that pitching and defense wins games. Why the love for what appears to be a very average team? I can think of 6 better teams in the NL alone.
