Cubs - and they'll make the playoffs too. This is going to be a great year for them.

I think that the Chicago cubs will have the better season over the Cincinnati Reds although the Reds will improve as well. The reason why i say that is because the Cubs have the better manager then the Reds.

Chicago Cubs

The Cubs spent a lot more money, but it's the Cubs, so they'll disappoint again. The Reds have a decent starting rotation, and the bullpen was bolstered during the offseason. They aren't the most potent team offensively, but playing in Great American Smallpark helps.

I'm going to go ahead and say the Reds will be better. But then again, I'm a huuuuge Reds fan, so my opinion isn't exactly unbiased.

Chicago. They have one of the best pitchers in the game, Zambrano. They have a better lineup - with Derek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, Soriano, Barrett. And both teams have perpetually hurt all-star caliber players - Griffery for the Reds, Prior and Wood for the Cubs. I'm a Phillies fan so there is no bias here. Chicago will win a division with a 6 team division where everyone is decent but no one stands out.

Cubs should be better than the Reds with all that money they spent.

Prior & Wood are still the key ingrediants to a playoff spot for the Cubs. If Prior & Wood falter, then the Reds may have a better record.

As the season gets closer and closer everybody hopes their team comes out of the gate flying. The season is a marathon,162 games is like 6 months of playing baseball, but to get to your question I believe that the Cubs are gonna be under a microscope the whole season but they have the right guy to try and turn it around "Sweet Lou" they should win around 88 games,I see the Reds winning around 80.It's gonna take 90-92 wins to take the Central this year

Cubs are the whores of the National league having spent $300,000,000 dollars to try and buy a championship. Alas, I think they have a better shot because Lou Pinella will know how to get these guys motivated. The cross town series against the White Sox should be interesting this year...

Reds. I think Soriano is completely overrated and Jason Marquis is horrible. I think the Cubs spent a lot of money and it won't get them anywhere.

The Reds will be a .500 club which is good enough to best the Cubs.

The CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!!!

I live 30 min. from Cincy. but they invest nothing it that team. The Cubbies have a better line up and pitching. As far as reds winning opening day Nope. Cubs win opening and reds fans get disappointed like every other year during opening day.

May be a little bias though as I am a huge CUBS fan.

Well, the Cubs spent more than 300 million this offseason, so hopefully they will be better. For both clubs it comes down to pitching, and i feel that the cubs staff is a little better.
