We're going to go through this yet AGAIN? (Hint: Check the archives before posting a question.)
The ways are:
1. Base hit
2. Error
3. Fielder's choice
4. Hit batsman
5. Base on balls
6. Interference
7. Passed by on a third strike
8. Wild pitch on a third strike
Notes
(1) You cannot steal first base
(2) At no time at any level has a balk enabled the batter-runner to reach first base

Here you go: The seven ways by which a batter can become a runner:
hit
base on balls
error
hit by pitch
fielder's choice
dropped third strike
catcher's interference
In some levels of baseball, the rule for balks USED TO be to award the batter a ball for a balk if there were no runners to advance. This has pretty much gone by the wayside, however. That, I think, would make it so a batter could formerly reach base EIGHT ways because if that balk occurred on the fourth ball....you do the math! :-)

those are the saddest solutions i've got ever seen. you could't attain base on a draw back. A draw back is to sidestep the pitcher from fooling the runner. The batter gets no longer something on a draw back. A single, double, triple, and residing house run all count huge style as effectual. You sound like a 2 year previous explaining the dropped third strike. the 1st answerer is right, and gets ten factors.

A hit as you mentioned.
The first guy got five:
Fielder's choice
Error
Walk
HBP
Balk
The final way is to steal first. This is possible if the catcher drops the ball on strike three after which the batter can advance to first base.

Walk, HPB, Dropped 3rd strike, error, fielders choice, interference.
Now you said for a batter to get on base. If u said for a player to get on base then it would be pinch runner.
