First off most New Era Caps have been around $32 for several years. Second MLB has retracted any ideas of putting ads on bases/uniforms and there has been no further talk of this for several years. Yes the hats are pricey but that is typical of any product. Everything costs more and is standard economics. People are willing to pay more so why not charge more. If you don't like the price don't buy the caps and then the prices will have to come down because the demand will be lower.
