Now it is very easy for all the Major League homers out there to answer this question. But note, I didn't specify MLB, did I? Oh the complications of looking at Cuban, Mexican and all the minor leagues... There is a whole world out there. But let's start with a simple fact, the Chicago Cubs have not won a World Series since 1908. So, ipso facto, if it is not the Cubs, the team had to have existed prior to 1908. And, the team has to be professional, that is a member of a league that is itself a member of Minor League Baseball or is a recognized independent league. And further, let's NOT look, necessarily at all those foreign leagues. Though, I hope some of you stats geeks throw a few things into the mix that will surprise the reader. Finally, the team still has to be competing. No fair discussing a team that isn't active, unless its active record beats the still developing Cubs record. Remember, MLB starts in just 39 days and spring training is already in session.
