i just read this on yankees.com- Fans lined up at the front of Legends Field well before the gates opened at 10 a.m. ET.
so theres your answer- 10:00am so get there about 9am

Ma'am, i suggest you goto Ft. Myers, FL and watch the Minnesota Twins. They are much more fundamental and the management actually does their homework to win games. The Yankees are high-market and all they do is spend TONs of money on world series dreams.

Ok. It isn't hard to get into practice. Just show up early. You shouldn't have a problem. Also depending on how old he is he should bring a glove. I friend of mine was in I believe arizona for the padres one and they actually tossed some balls into the crowd for the younger children.
