If the fight happened in 2001...why the sudden questions coming up now?

Rodriguez is trying to deflect responsibility...again. The guy is too stubborn to admit that it is not working with the Yankees. Why would it matter if he and Jeter are not close friends? It is another fluff piece courtesy of the New York media to make people actually care about the Yankees. Besides,. shouldn't the focus be on why they shafted Bernie Williams? How they can win with their older pitching staff (save for Wang)?

Both players are being very selfish,Jetter should just get over that interview Arod had with that Esquire back in the 90's,and Arod should just take the screw you attitude and play ball like he was born to,And stop worring so much about all of Ny embracing him!!

The are two different people. Jeter is a motivated go getter who is used to winning and strives to be the best he can be at all time.

A-Rod is content with his current ability and rarely pushes himself to be better.

Jeter wants this guy to takeit to another level. And they just don't see eye to eye on that.

ARod needs to collect himself and RBI in the post season before he starts talking to anyone about anything. Especially over his relationship with Jeter which is his own fault it's cooled off in the first place because he was shooting his mouth off to Esquire magazine.

there was a lot of talk last year about their 'tiff'. I think some kind of word got out so A-rod felt he would have to come out and say something first. He was critized for being too quiet last year and maybe this year he won't be taking crap from anyone.

A-Rod is an ******...............the yankees were better off without him..remember he has the no trade clause .the yankees wanted to shop him last year but he wanted to stay.........jeter 3 rings A-Rod 0.........jeter doesn't need him .......who cares about his comments he just wants to stir up some mess.he needs to stay in the batting cage and produce some runs in the post season..........A-Rod is acting like afemale with this gossip sh**.............it must be his time of the month..............

He is reaching out to Jeter. This is psych 101.
Jeter of course is to selfish to care tho so this will just lead to more animosity.
