I wonder if the new pitcher for boston is really just throwing a right handed screwball rather than the fabled gyroball. Regardless, I can't recall any right-handed screwball pitchers. Is it impossible for a righty to do ?

I like the Red Sox. Really Solid Line Up, and a Rotation that could be great. If they can fill out their closer situation that would deffinetly help.

I was wondering, Jose Reyes had 81 RBI's out of the leadoff spot last year. That seems to me to be a heck of a lot. Anyone out there able to find what the NL record for RBI's from a lead off hitter (let's define it as 85% of games leading off.) AL prior to the inclusion of the DH also counts. Happy Hunting.

a batter who hits an apparent game-ending home run with less than two outs would be allowed to circle the bases if a runner ahead of him doesn't continue to home plate, thinking the game is over. If there are two outs when the play begins, however, the runner who abandons trying for home plate would be the third out and the home run would not count
