Go for Upper Deck. That is the most valuable 1989 baseball card set.

Get Upper Deck. That has Griffey Jr. and Randy Johnson to name a couple. Plus the Upper Deck cards are worth a lot more. In terms of overall appeal I rank them UD, Donruss, Fleer.

Get the Upper deck set, its better and has the Griffey card. but if you want one of the other, get Fleer. Much nicer cards with better photography, more complete stats, and also has a Griffey card, though not as valuable as the Upper Deck one. In reality all the sets that year were overproduced, so be competitive in your shopping

Both manufacturers over produced that year.In value neither is really a good investment.Upper Deck is the best investment for 1999.If you cant get Upper Deck I would invest in a different year issue.Do not waste time on 1998 cards either.

I'd say neither and get Upper Deck! That was Griffey Jr's rookie year and if you get that card it's still worth alot!
