The roids were administered to him, whether he knew it or not is a different story. I am sure that he did. As far as breaking Hank's record goes, I think that there should be an * by his name. Meaning questionable record!
The fact that he had to take a year off to get clean should tell you something. Oh wait, he had an operation--

Reports, and possibly one of the books you mentioned?, say that Bonds admitted to steroid use when under oath in front a federal grand jury that was investigating BALCO, a supposed steroid supplier to pro athletes. Bonds has never had a positive test for steroids or related stuff, since MLB started random testing a couple years ago. Either he has quit using, has something else that he's using as a "masking agent, or there's truly nothing proving that he used steroids. So, short story long, no it has not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Barry Bonds used steroids.

Well the truth is that it really hasnt been proven that Bonds did take steroids. But if he did i dont think he deserves to beat Hank's record b/c i bet Hank never took steroids it was all talent and for a cheater to cheat its way in into tha HR record should ge punished. But again is not yet proven that he took steroids

Are you crazy?? It's perfectly normal for a 37 year old to improve his bat speed enough to hit 73 homers, and break his previous career high by 24 at an age when most players are slowing down. Nah, Barry didn't use steroids not at all, every hitter in their late thirties has slugging percentages of ..863, .799,.749, and .812,.

I doubt he used them. I am a huge Giants fan and they have no proof that he used steroids. His best friend Mr. Anderson has spent lots of time in jail because he says Barry didn't take steroids. It's as if they are trying to force Anderson into just saying anything so they have a case agains Barry. As for breaking Hank's record...yes he does deserve it. Unless there is solid proof, he should play as always. Also, the journalists who originally wrote about this, had no proof of having an "informant". They only recently said who this person is, but as far as believing them...not!

He did use steroids. He is not worthy of breaking Aaron's record.

Bonds definitely used steroids. The real question is when did he start using it.

Most people think that he did use it. However, the unfortunate truth is that there really isn't any proof to show it. He isn't worth of breaking the record. It is all a giant show.
