Bernabe Williams is not the player he used to be anymore. He better stay with the Yanks not for loyalty, no! He better stay 'cause no other team is gonna pay him what the Yanks are paying for a player that's already done with baseball.

Look what Sammy Sosa is gonna be making this year. He's got a minor league contract for less than 1 million dollar and Bernabe is just as bad now as Sammy but the good thing for him is that he belongs to the Yanks and played his best years for them. That's why the New York Yankees are willing to pay him a good salary, for the loyalty he showed on his good years.

No way because of his loyalty to the Yankees. Bernie is the current player with the most years with the Yankees and he will retire to the Hall of Fame and Cooperstown as a New York Yankee.

I doubt it. Although I don't like the Yanks too much, Bernie is one of those players that has been with a team so long and has meant so much to the team in the past that they will try to keep him on as long as they can (and I'm sure Bernie feels the same way). He already has rings playing for them, what more could he want?

I hope so. Bernie is the only Yankee that I like. He has avoided becoming that annoying cocky Yankee stereotype, and he's been there longer than most of the rest of them. A good solid guy who lets his playing do his talking. The only Yankee I respect as a ballplayer. He deserves to keep playing, but in a more conducive atmosphere.

Who cares about an almost 40 year old washed up outfielder who starts at left field once every 15 games. He is gonna be difference maker in anyone that can beat this "evil empire". Which doesnt even exist any more. Havent even reached the world series in 6 years.

No. If you read some items on the web Bernie was offered a non-roster invitation to spring training camp. His corner locker has already been given away to a relief pitcher named Jose Veras. Bernie had contact with Joe Torre last week. He hasn't heard from him since. Rumor has it that team mates have tried to contact him to no avail.

I don't see t hat happening. Either the Yankees will give him the guarantees that he wants or he'll retire as a Yankee. They'll probably give him a job in the organization.

Bernie is a musician if you didn't know. He will most likely continue with his music. He has some albums out. They're good.
