With the power of the Barrys, the Giants will probably battle the hated Dodgers for the NL Worst Division crown. Whoever loses the division will probably end up as the wild card. Zito is a good signing, but he cant pitch every game when it counts, and thats in the playoffs. I predict them to lose in the wild card round in 5 games. Zito will win 20, Bonds will hit 30 and ride off into the sunset

Not very far. Bonds will be a distraction. The closer he gets to Aaron's home run mark the worse it's going to get. I hope the SOB ends up in jail before that happens. Zito made a bad more going to the Giants. They are a so-so team at best.

I am a huge baseball fan. I can't begin to tell you how much I love the game and the memories. But I will tell you this[now you need to stop and think] Baseball as a business, gets what baseball wants. Whatever is good for business baseball will do. You can look for the Giants to go to the series this year so if nothing else baseball can reap the benifits fom Bonds. I'm sorry to come across as such a a synical but this is how I feel until they can show me otherwise! Please, enjoy the game and good luck to your team!!!

Zito should do well in the transition from the AL. Who else do they have pitching? The focus on Bonds assault on Hank Aaron's record will be a Circus sideshow until he breaks it. I think the team will suffer as a result.
Giants may be third best in the West this year.

Probably not.

They might make it to the playoffs, but that's dubious.

There's still a lot of holes in their lineup. They're only real offensive threat (emphasis on the word "offensive") is Barry Bonds, and he's not as young as he used to be.

Zito makes them a little better (at least on paper), but their bullpen needs improvement. Certainly, they need a better closer.

I think they will win the division but because of their lack of offense and power and bullpen efficiency they will lose in the first round
