Who'll win it?

I'm a Yankee fan and I've been saying they won't win for a while ever since the 2001 series loss and George's subsequent panic. I cringed at the Giambi signing, the Arod trade, the Ted Lilly giveaway, the Sheffield signing, the Pavano signing, the Johnson trade. Now I'm thinking they're on the right track.

In June I was still saying they won't win for a while, and I booed Randy Johnson as he couldn't pitch to the lowly Devil Rays on the only day I was able to go out to Yankee this year.

Abreu has actually worked out like he could've been on the 1998 Yankees. Maybe they've got it turned around. I'm thinking the Yankees will win it all this year.

Who do you all think will win this year and why?

All the Red Sox fans that I talked to said they would not watch the playoffs because they don't really care who wins this year. Ironic, isn't it? Since the whole country watched to see if their team could do it.

Just curious. I respect Joe Torre, and everything he has done for the game of baseball. My question is

If he had managed The Tigers this year (instead of Jim Leyland), would he have taken them this far?

Just a hypothetical question.

Your thoughts?

I really haven't been following things since the mid of summer, but they looked like the best team this year. Yankees looked like crap.

1.How does Ryan bring excitement to every game?
2.What is some evidence that proves the statement that Ryan is more famous for his time on the Rangers than his time on any other team, like the Mets?

I am just trying to find out what people think or any ideas on what I should have on the web site. Anyone who does not know who he is he is the GM for the Boston Red Sox.

geez, they (A's) just won a game & no one is saying anything, except the Twin fans, calling them lucky. Is there any A's fans out there, even if ur hopping on the bandwagon, geez if that was my team I'd be talking a lot of $hit right now, who knows if they'll win another one? C'mon people, these are the PLAYOFFS!!!!

jump off a bridge when the Yankees beat the Tigers or will he just spend hours coming up with excuses for why the Tigers should have won but didn't?

Detroit fans are just as bad as Red Sox fans!

Go A'S :-D

I am very pleased with the way they have performed.
Considering where they have been the last 12 years, I was hoping for 80-82 wins this year. Not only have the exceeded my expectations they have made it to the playoffs! If you had told me in April we'd be playing the yankees in the post season I would have laughed in your face.

1994 53-62
1995 60-84
1996 53-109
1997 79-83
1998 65-97
1999 69-92
2000 79-83
2001 66-96
2002 55-106
2003 43-119
2004 72-90
2005 71-91

Regardless of where they go now, I am pleased with them and think (now that we Leyland) the future looks bright.
