Assuming that you have a considerate boyfriend (when he's not watching baseball), talk to him into finding a balance between you and sports.
For example, if he likes you watch 3 hours of baseball on a particular night. Ask him if it's fair to play cards or chess at a coffee shop.
For 6+ hours of sports a week, I'd say he owes you 1 hour of ballroom dancing lessons a week.

Maybe he just ins't that interested in you?
Try not contacting him or pursuing you for a while and see what he does...(play hard to get)
If he comes around then...he misses you and you have a chance...if he doesn't then cut him lose b/c he will continue to ignore you. This is probably not about baseball.
Another idea:
let him have his baseball...
You could try getting into this curious sport...
It may be something you end up liking and can do together.
Let him have his baseball but......
ask him when he is free to do....such and such with you....
if he says he has a game...then say after the game or before the game....etc.

I'm sure you could come up with something. Sex only lasts for so long though. Then they get bored and go back to watching baseball. Maybe you should pick a team, or root for the other team. This would get his attention. You may even get interested in it yourself.

You don't. You can't change him only your attitude. If he doesn't know what a VCR is for, and ignores you and any responsibility toward his family for baseball, then you should dump him and find someone who has his priorities set straight. If he is watching baseball on the weekend and will tape a game to go and do something important with you, then deal with it.

I would like to make jokes like everybody else, but this seems like it something you want a real answer to. You have to let him have his personal time. Baseball is that. You dont really want him all on you taking all your time. When he watches baseball, you go and find your hobby or learn to like baseball and watch it with him.
