The latter, though it has less to do with the fact that they're the highest-paid (the Mets aren't much worse off) and more to do with the fact that a large percentage of their fans are arrogant jerks who believe that the Yankees will ALWAYS win the World Series, despite the fact that haven't won a single year since 2000. And yup, I'm from NYC, born and bred. :-)

Why is it that when someone doesn't like a team they always say that team "sucks"? That is so foolish. I think every team in the playoffs are pretty dam good. It's not easy to make it this far unless you have talent. To say any team "sucks" just shows how stupid you are. I think whoever wins the Yankee-Tiger series will win the world series.

I am from Boston and I was raised to cheer for two teams, the Red Sox and whoever is playing the Yankees.

I'm glad that they get that big payroll and loose every so often. New York is the team to beat. However, I am rooting for Oaktown and the Dogs because I am from the West and the West is the Best my friend. Peace!

I'm totally Cheering for the Yankees, it takes SKILLS to keep going to the playoffs and TALENT to win the WORLD SERES...... no i am not from NY but I have been a Yankee Fan all my life......

no cuz i already no wats going to happen.....there going to choke. When was the last time they won a WS. O ya 01' so ya every year since then they lost. see the pattern. They pay there guys so much but they cant even win the WS. Go A's
