This should be the lineup for 2007
1 Johnny Damon as DH
2 Derek Jeteras SS
3 Robinson Cano as 2nd base
4 Bobby Abreu as 1st base
5 Gary Sheffield as Outfielder
6 Melky as Outfielder
7Matsui as Outfielder

I think that they should pick up soriano for the outfield
then they could move damon to 1st base because he has a chicken arm
and keep giambi as a dh
this would be good because soriano has been great in the outfield and damon seems like he would like to play first
(remember when damon told joe torre he had played first in oakland just so he could play it and he did fine)

I can't imagine. I heard talk that they might pick up Sheffields option for 2007 and if they do the lineup might look like:

Rodriguez
Sheffield
Giambi
Matsui
Posada
Cano
With Melky Cabrera waiting in the wings to give the outfielders a breather every day.
