I am very pleased with the way they have performed.
Considering where they have been the last 12 years, I was hoping for 80-82 wins this year. Not only have the exceeded my expectations they have made it to the playoffs! If you had told me in April we'd be playing the yankees in the post season I would have laughed in your face.

1994 53-62
1995 60-84
1996 53-109
1997 79-83
1998 65-97
1999 69-92
2000 79-83
2001 66-96
2002 55-106
2003 43-119
2004 72-90
2005 71-91

Regardless of where they go now, I am pleased with them and think (now that we Leyland) the future looks bright.

Your thoughts?

IF The Tigers beat the yankees in the playoffs, that would icing on the cake! If they dont beat the yankees I'd still be pleased and look forward to next year, where they should have a better year.

Yeah, they lost thier last 5 games...Especially when they had a great chance to win the division.

I am talking over all. I had my hopes set at maybe 82 wins (the first time over .500 in 12 years).

It's been magical and I have enjoyed it.

How could you not be happy with their season after being one of the sorriest teams in all of MLB for years upon years?

They would've been happy with a winning season, let alone a Wild Card birth over the RedSox, WhiteSox and Angels!

Even a blind squirrel...

I am not a Detroit "fan," but I have been following their season and they have nothing to be ashamed about. They played great, but just choked a little at the end of the season. Could have happened to anyone. I mean, the Tigers and the Twins were neck and neck...it was close. There is nothing to be ashamed of about that. Plus, they're in the Playoffs! That's an accomplishment in itself!

GP, thank you for showing up! I needed your true blue Tiger support to bolster me for tonight! I, too, agree that no matter the outcome it has been one wild ride this season! I hope with all my heart that they beat those dreaded Yankess but I will be a proud, PROUD Tigers fan even if they don't!

And, anyone who can deny the fact that the Tigers made it one heckuva season for all of baseball is NO baseball fan.

GO TIGERS!!!

If they beat the Yanks, my grandfather will roll over in his grave. He was the biggest Tiger and Lions fan I ever met. I just keep up to date because most people believe our teams suck. So far, I'm impressed.

They did well but I don't think the four game loss at the end helped them. I would like to see them beat the Yanks.

Happy!?!?

How could they be happy? They almost blew it... They were cruisin all year then at the end they almost blew it... for a team to be in command all season long then finish as a wild card winner, thats pretty bad... Just ask Boston Fans...

Yes, they should be happy with their season, despite the collapse at the end.

Now it's time for them to get off the stage.
