It's insane that he got fired...but he had a major fight with ownership, that eventually led to an on-field argument during a game. From that point on, his fate was sealed.

He will be the next coach of the Cubs...he is from there, he played there...it's a perfect fit for what Chicago needs.

The Marlins basically got a "YES" man in Freddie Gonzalez. He is a great coach, a good guy...but more of a "YES" guy for Marlin Ownership to order around.

because the owner was acting stupid at a baseball game, cursing the umpires and girardi ask him to calm down. girardi preached to his players not to argue with the umpires. the owner was setting a bad example. so they drummed up some excuse that he didn't fit in their organization.
from what i hear on television and what i read girardi is a class act. this will be the marlins loss. i hope the cubs hire him. he has every sign of being a great manager. what a job he did for the marlins. he probably will win manager of the year. he has 3 world series rings and headed for more success!

Joe Torre tried to warn him about the owner of that club,Turns out
he had a big blow out with him,and the owner wanted him to apologize,Joe refused,so they fired him.The cubs are interested in him.

He didn't get along with the Marlins' owner, who is a complete idiot. Don't feel too bad for him, though; I have a feeling he'll land a new job real soon.

Yes, he did. He is going to make a great manager. However, the owner and him did not get along or see eye-to-eye.

He did a great job with The Marlins.

The way I understand it, is him and the owner didnt see eye to eye.

That's the owner's loss.
