i agree...i also dont know why they say that football is a tough sport if you get an entire week to recover... imagine if they have 2 weeks with maybe 1 day off...put any team for 16 games and you cant expolite weakness as much as 162 games

It really is regional. If you are in Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Orange County California, people talk about baseball from April to October. In some parts of the country, like the South and Texas, football, not necessarily the NFL, but college as well, is a way of life and baseball is of interest this time of year only. Also, within regions that love baseball, it also can be racial. Hispanics and whites tend to love baseball, while Northern urban blacks have abandoned baseball. Major league baseball has started a baseball academy in Compton, California to attract talented young black athletes to baseball and away from football and basketball.

well, i think baseball is played way too long. even though baseball is our national past time, when football starts, its towards the end of the baseball season. we all get excited when football comes around because baseball is played during the week, and football is only played mostly on Sunday. we miss football because it doesn't last as long as baseball. lighten up because an opinion is like an @$$hole, everybody has 1 and you are taking this way too seriously

Yes, you are right. Baseball is rich in history and it's records are more in the minds of sports fans than football ever was. Baseball is the greatest game ever invented.
College football is much better than Pro Football.

Here is my thought. Fathers and sons talk about baseball. Father's and sons play catch in the back yard. Baseball has more of a history in America, it's nostalgic. America is baseball, and baseball is America. What sport brought more people together after 9/11, baseball.

I can watch a baseball game and see just exactly what is going on. I can watch a football game and see lots of large men running around and lining up again. I have never figured out what is going on and find the whole thing very boring.

Well baseball ISN'T our National sport, football is and the ratings prove it. Maybe if baseball would shorten it's schedule it COULD become the big sport again.

Why is there always this tendency to put down one thing in order to bolster something else up? Both sports are great in their own way. Maybe, we could have co-national sports.
