Who'll win it?
I'm a Yankee fan and I've been saying they won't win for a while ever since the 2001 series loss and George's subsequent panic. I cringed at the Giambi signing, the Arod trade, the Ted Lilly giveaway, the Sheffield signing, the Pavano signing, the Johnson trade. Now I'm thinking they're on the right track.
In June I was still saying they won't win for a while, and I booed Randy Johnson as he couldn't pitch to the lowly Devil Rays on the only day I was able to go out to Yankee this year.
Abreu has actually worked out like he could've been on the 1998 Yankees. Maybe they've got it turned around. I'm thinking the Yankees will win it all this year.
Who do you all think will win this year and why?

Mattaplan: I looked at your profile and sure enough you're a Red Sox fan. That argument is only valid when your team doesn't buy so many of its players.
The Yankees' failures over the past few years has stemmed from "buying" players that were over the hill, overpriced, and didn't fit in with the system. Johnson, ARod, Weaver, and Pavano come to mind.
The Yankees have seen a lot of success from their younger, low-paid players. Cano, CCabrera, Wang. Oh, and Damon is working out fine.

Oh, and please let's just keep this to the world series and who you think will win.
