Babe Ruth. He is the greatest hitter ever, though you could argue that Hank Aaron was better. However, Ruth was also one of the best pitchers in the game when he first started playing.

I'd have to say the Babe. No player has ever done more for the game. Currently it has to be Pujols (Im a cubs fan) so it pains me to say it but pujols is great
