for the highest average finish in the standings? What I'm wondering is who has the highest average for their entire career. I can find winning percentage and that kind of information but not the average in the final standings. Thanks for your help.

besides racing for the championship and top spots. there was talks that a few must fight for the 35th position or better in order to clinch a spot for Daytona. Dave Blaney is one of them. who else?

I love the look of NASCAR cars. Seeing a car racing around painted with the Mountain Dew logo and colors got me interested in NASCAR when I was younger (Can anyone remember the driver and number of that car?). My favorite car all-time was the yellow and red #5 "Kellogg's Corn Flakes" car driven by Terry Labonte.

a debrie caution comes out (and the debrie was never shown) just when Gordon had a bad tire rub??? this seems to happen quite often for some odd reason

Stewart was fined $25,000 and docked 25 points by NASCAR for the stellar “BS” bomb he dropped during his TV interview after his win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Johnson said D*** yesterday after the race during his interview....not the same word but shouldn't the same standards apply for everyone? Just wondered...I am thinking NASCAR might be showing some favoritism.

I hope real race fans give me a honest answers. I know you probably hate Jimmie Johnson, but even you have to admit his season is pretty amazing. JJ has won 10 races, 4 in row, and could possibly win back to back championships.

Isn`t it time that all this BS stopped, industrial espionage has been going on since the beginning of motor racing, not just F1. It will never be stopped.

Why do certain drivers earn more money than other drivers at races? For example, this Sunday, Jeff Gordon made more money than Kyle Busch yet Kyle finished ahead of Jeff by two positions. What determines how much you earn?

Ok, I'm not a fan or a hater, I'm just looking at this statistically. All these reports are saying that JJ has the cup locked up.

The reports all say that he can lock it up with a 18th place finish or better. I don't know about you, but it doesn't seem that easy to just finish 18th...is it? Can you explain to me how a driver can be so assured of a better than 18th finish. Is it that unlikely that he could crash and not finish at all?

I don't really follow Nascar I was just curious how this worked.

Doesn't Jimmie Johnson winning 4 races in a row makes it way obvious that he and his scandalous crew chief Chad Knaus have got to be cheating some how? The past 4 races, right at the end, Jimmie just takes off as like he pushes a NAS button in the car and then "BAM"... he's leading the race and ends up winning.

Do you think this is a coincidence? I THINK NOT!!

Jimmie Johnson makes me Sick Sick Sick!!!!

don't you think NASCAR needs to realize nobody likes it? Jeff Gordon and Richard Petty both said how they dislike it but nothing. Only brian france said that he likes it.

Is a driver ever forced to pit by NASCAR officials or is it always the call of the crew chief and pit crews?

Now, I know about the black flag situation where a driver might need to come in to the pits for a penalty. Also, weather conditions may cause a race to be delayed, and they can call all drivers into the pits during rain.

Are there any other situations in which NASCAR would force a team to pit at any point during the race?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If Nascar hadn't starting this BS chase that Jeff Gordon would have won 6 championships by now. Thats 1 away from tying the King and Dale Earnhardt and that would simply be amazing no matter what driver it was. But of course Nascar decided to use the chase and to me its just not fair. In my opinion, you can't decide a champion in ten races.

What do you guys think

They really had to look for that debris, I don't want to sound like a poor sport but, others have tire rubs all the time and don't get breaks like that, they have to pit and fix the problem or cut down a tire and risk an accident. That tire rubbed for awhile and they weren't planning on pitting. Just an observation.
