There's a big difference in the owners and the drivers points. Mark Martin is 31st in the drivers points, but he is (I think) in the top 20 in Owner points.
BTW...The top-35 rule applies to Owner points, whereas the Overall Championship (the Nextel Cup) goes by driver points.
