I'm rooting for Jeff but there is no way, unless a miracle happens and Jimmie crashes or has a problem. But when its your year, its your year and Jeff may be able to pull it off.

Either way Jeff is gonna shine like a piece of new chrome
to win the championship as a car owner and second as a driver in the same year -its never been done has it?
But to answer the question I`d say its Jimmie`s party..

Jimmie needs to finish 18th or better to clinch it. That is with Jeff getting first and all bonus points. For instance, if Jimmie leads a lap and gets the five bonus points, he only needs to finish 19th. If Jeff finishes the race in 5th, Jimmie would need to finish around 26th or so. The only thing that could take him out is if he crashed or blew an engine or something like that. Otherwise, it's his.

Still feel good about Jeffs chances. Just a fun fact for you. In two of the three biggest racing series in the world..IRL, F1...the point leader who started the final race of the season didnt finish as the point leader of that race was over. Franchitti beat Dixon, Raikkonnen beat Hamilton..Gordon over Johnson? i sure hope so. Dont count Jeff out yet. The racing Gods seem to throw a wrench into the plans every now and then.

I want Jeff to win it. Who knows? Maybe somebody might pull a Schumacher/Jacques Villeneuve wreck (Look up the1997 European Grand Prix at Jerezon) on the #48 and then the #24 car would win the cup, but I doubt it.

Gordon should win it because of the big points lead he had before the "chase" started. I hate the chase system. I hope Johnson blows an engine or gets wrecked on the first lap next week. I may not even watch the last race, I'm bored with the Jimmie Johnson show.

Well in the Hendrick Stockcar Racing Series it is a sure bet the championship is in his pocket. But as to which driver the odds are that Johnson will be the winner.

Even when Jimmie makes a mistake, it goes well for him, and you can't beat mojo like that. 90 points is hard to catch up to in one race, and it has become very hard to imagine the #48 team having any problems.
