They really had to look for that debris, I don't want to sound like a poor sport but, others have tire rubs all the time and don't get breaks like that, they have to pit and fix the problem or cut down a tire and risk an accident. That tire rubbed for awhile and they weren't planning on pitting. Just an observation.

BLT 24, it helped Jeff because he might have gone down a lap if he pitted or hit the wall if he didn't.

You know that was what everyone around me at phnx was saying...hey it didnt; help Jeff anyway..so no harm done..I hate debris cautions no matter who is it....back in the day....Nascar just sent a offical out there, wait till the coast is clear then run out there and pick it up...But this is now. and yes we do the stupid debris cautions cause god forbid one of the top guys hit the wall or mess up there paint job...sorry I'm old school here....So what Jeff had a tire rubbing..pit under the green flag like a man and get it fixed and come back and race your *** off....But no.....its just another crappy Na$car call..debris cautions....they suck..

I agree.....whenever Gordon comes over the radio saying he has a problem with his car and will have to pit, a caution is thrown for "debris" on the track. And sometimes they don't even show the debris on the track. I am a huge Nascar fan but sometimes it seems like they throw a caution out there to help out the drivers and it shouldn't be that way.

I have to admit that at first I thought it was. Especially since the camera crew and ABC took so long to show where it was, or tell us what it was. But, they did show a piece of metal on the track and the truck pulling up to remove it. It wasn't something stupid like a plastic bag or something else idiotic. I think if ABC would have been more on the ball about it, the thought would have never crossed my mind.

Yes, the appearance of impropriety was definitely convenient for the #24, and he wouldn't have been in that situation except that he brought it on himself. I was waiting for the four fresh tires to bring him back to the front, but he was only able to gain two spots on the restart.

Do you think maybe Jeff tossed the piece of metal on the track? Maybe a member of his crew? Or maybe a fan...

Ahhh, nothing like a good old conspiracy theory to make this more interesting.

Yep it seemed a little too pat until they showed the "debris"--besides, it ain't like Jeff won the race, usually the cautions are convenient for Johnson but he hasn't needed them recently, what luck that guy's got.

Ho hum....

Same old, same old.

If Gordon wins, people whine.
If he loses, people whine.

If Johnson wins, people whine.
If he loses, people whine.

Crud sakes, it's a sport. Everyone will have their conspiracy theories, and grassy knoll.

Maybe that's how Jeff and Jimmie are really making money, They are betting on each other and then throwing the race...???????

not convenient, but suspicious. It didn't matter anyway. old dude was lookin pretty ill today. something was up with dude today and you could just feel it. I think he's getting sad because the #1 DEI car is starting to make him look like the #20 car makes the #31 car look... if you know what I mean.

Definitely....wonder where it came from? Any other time, they'd show what car it came from...like the time a glove was thrown out of a window, sending the caution flag out
