I have 2. A few years ago, I traded Steve Smith(Carolina) for Willie Greene. A few weeks ago, I was in first place and traded Kevin Jones for Marvin Harrison. Needless to say, I'm no longer in first place.

Driving me slightly crazy.

Damnnn

what if they re-sign him for 10 years 300 million dollars like reports are out to be and then he gets injured and never becomes the same player again...that would so suck

I mean dude's got an excellent work ethic and keeps himself in tip top shape but it would be a shame if it happened to him and the Yankees or whatever team he goes to

Do hitters hit themselves on the leg more now after swinging at the ball now then in past decades?
I dont remember players from the 70's and 80's wearing leg protection and I don't remember so many of them falling down at the plate after fouling the ball off their leg.

Let's start with the Busch Series. This series was suppose to be a stepping stone for the up-and coming new stars of NASCAR. Terry Bradshaw started a Busch team sponsored by Super Cuts and was complaining that his driver in the Busch series didn't stand a chance against the more experienced Cup drivers that are racing in the Busch series. Last year Harvick won the Championship in Busch and this year it's Carl Edwards. Bottom line - Ban the big boys from running in the Busch series so the new stars of tomorrow can show what they have to offer.
Now on to Cup - these open wheel drivers that are coming over to Cup I don't feel is good for the sport. These are the professional drivers from open wheel racing that are taking potencial rides away from the stars of tomorrow that should be coming out of the Busch Series.
No more open wheel drivers cross over to Cup and no more Cup drivers are allowed to have an entry in the Busch Series. Sorry Jack Rouch, it's one or the other.

Would you rather be a role player in the NBA, making at least $5,000,000 per year, or be a star player and make at least $15,000,000 per year?
Role player you would have more privacy and more freedom, you wouldn't be the main player on the team, so recieve less pressure, while star player, you would need body guards, and your privacy would be taken away and not much freedom, also your team depends on you every game, and you have lots of pressure.

Big Ten may have made a very costly mistake

By Tom Dienhart - SportingNews

Did the Big Ten make a $4.5 million mistake by allowing an officiating crew that was facing a suspension this weekend to work last Saturday's Illinois-Ohio State game?

As I reported last week, a source told me the conference plans to suspend the crew that officiated the Nov. 3 Purdue-Penn State game based on a review of its work in that game. That same crew worked one of the biggest Big Ten games of the year last weekend in Columbus.

Incredible.

Why would the Big Ten assign the crew -- a few of whom could be fired for their work in the Purdue-Penn State game -- to a game of this importance?

The Big Ten does not comment on specific officiating issues.

The crew includes referee Stephen Pamon, umpire Pat Bayers, linesman Jack Teitz, line judge Robert Davis, back judge Dennis Morris, field judge Bobby Sagers and side judge Joe Duncan.

That group called just three penalties, one on Illinois and two on Ohio State. And a few perceived non-calls have Buckeye Nation angry. Many more fans are upset knowing this crew was running the game.

Were there blown calls? That's debatable. But perception matters more than reality. And the reality is this crew shouldn't have been trusted with such a game.

And how's this for another megadose of reality? The loss cost No. 1 Ohio State a shot at playing for the BCS title. What's more, that loss hurt the Big Ten's chances of sending a second school to a BCS bowl, which would net the conference an additional $4.5 million.

Now, the Big Ten will have to be satisfied with getting just one BCS team. The winner of this weekend's Ohio State at Michigan game will go to the Rose Bowl.

I am interested in taking a Martial Arts classes any suggestions?
I am a 32 year old female with "stage fright" I am confident in some aspects of my life, but know I would lack confidence in a class like this due to my nervousness.. It would be nice to find something to help build my confidence, and something that would help me with self defense, and fitness.. but nothing where I am treated bad or yelled at! Any suggestions? I found out that only Karate and Judo are offered.. Would Karate be a good choice?

Back in the day, when I lived in Winnipeg when the Jets were still around, the home team always wore whites. In the 90s (I think) they changed it so that home teams would wear their colors much like the NFL does for the most part. With the advent of the 3rd jersey, all bets were off.

Now we are have the new Rbk Edge jerseys and each team is back to two jerseys. I thought that colors were to be worn at home and whites as has been the latest practice BUT I have seen a few games where the home team has worn white. Example: Last night, watching the Leafs/Habs game, they were playing in Toronto, yet the Leafs were wearing their whites. Most games I have seen thus season, home team has worn their colors, but there have been a few expections.

My question is, is their any rhyme or reason to which jerseys the teams are wearing or are the NHL & Reebok just trying to market both jerseys at home? Does anyone have any info? Thanks!

This isn't a silly comparison question. I am not saying that Cricket is the better game. So, no jokes & give a serious answer.

Cricket used to be time consuming game but now there is a new version of cricket popularly known as 'Twenty20 CRICKET'.

A twenty20 game finishes in 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Now basic thing in cricket & baseball is the same & that's hitting the ball with the bat and running for points

American & Canadian cricket teams are there in the top20 (in cricket) but we can only have 16 teams in a cricket world cup.

Infact Canada made it to the 50-50 cricket world cup in 2003.
America was a part of of ICC (International Cricket Council) champions trophy in 2004.

So, these teams are there but still not in the elite group of nations.

Cricket is right now is second only to Soccer when it comes to viewership.

The major cricket playing nations are - India, Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan , Caribbean countries , New Zealand, Sri Lanka

Cheers!!!

I'm looking at 9mm semi-auto pistols, and I'm new to handguns. I'm mainly looking for something to use for target shooting and possibly self-defense, but hopefully that need will never arise. So far, after looking at quite a few models, I like the S&W m&p 9mm and the Springfield Armory XD. I prefer the m&p over the XD, but safety is a big concern for me, and it appears the XD has more safety features, including an actual external safety, other than the mag safety on the m&p. What would you recommend?

I have a high-end XC bike that I love, but it cannot handle any tires wider than 2.1. I'd like to have a nice American made bike that can handle really wide tires (2.4+). Trek hardtails are preferable.

There were no warnings issued. seemed kind of weird to me. Although, i understand it is not fair to ride on the sidewalk but issuing a criminal summon is taking it too far. Come on.. you are placing me with guys who commited crimes like murder, rape for just riding a bike on the pavement.

I just read your answer to a previous question on pulling the goalie in overtime. Is there a specific rule to prevent a team from pulling the goalie in OT? If they pull the goalie and score with the extra man I assume it would be good.

I seem to remember a game between Montreal and i think washington a few yers ago at the end of the season where montreal needed 2 points to make the playoffs where the pulled their goalie in OT. This was before the shootout so the game could still have been tied. They lost anyway.

Now with the shootout it is unlikely to happen but do the new rules prevent it?
